There are various options for child care in Morzine. Your choice will depend on your child’s sociability, where you plan to ski most often and where your self-catering chalet or apartment is located. Pre booking is recommended especially during school holidays.
Winter Childcare in Morzine
While you ski or snowboard in Morzine, your children can be cared for in a happy, safe environment by qualified and experienced staff, either in your chalet or at a crèche. We highly recommend the following independent childcarers in addition to L’Outa – the local crèche.
Pre-booking is essential with all our recommended childcare providers – particularly for peak weeks.

L’Outa Nursery has fantastic play facilities and is based in the centre of Morzine. It is a French run business and offers childcare for kids over 3 month old for tourists and as well as locals. L’Outa is competitively priced but please be aware there is a bit of paper trail in order to book – health records or certificates of medical care and vaccinations are required for all children!
Child Care Combined With Ski School
The Snow Institute
Sally and her team offer lessons for kids of all ages – she has taught all ours to ski and I would highly recommend her! She can teach children from 2 year old (would require private tuition) and children aged 3 and over can attend group lessons.
British Alpine Ski School
BASS offer eight hours of morning classes over the week for kids of 4 years and older. We’ve had great feedback from parents who have used this service. Children under the age of 4 would require private tuition.
The Snow School
The Snow School are great with kids – they offer a beginner kids class for 4-5 year olds and “Snowflake Class” for children aged 6 years and above. The classes are small and we have had nothing but great feedback. The Instructors all speak English.
ESF Morzine offer the Club Piou Piou in the Jardin d’Enfants at the base of the Pleney ski slope for 3 to 12 year olds. It is very safe and well organised and is what the local Morzinois kids do in winter from 3 years upwards! They offer half and full days of ski school and lunch can also be provided. Club Piou Piou is a very french style of childcare/ski school and the groups can be quite large and often a bit tiring for really little ones, however, the full day option gives you a lot of flexibility as a parent to get some good ski-ing in!
