Chalet La Petite Maison

Description

La Petite Maison offers families and small groups of friends a great combination of a ski convenient location and an authentic chalet ambiance.

In normal winter conditions at the end of the day you can ski back to a point just behind the chalet on the Pleney slopes. To go ski-ing in the morning a quick 100 metre walk to the same slope gets you on your way. Should you wish to start your ski day further afield in Avoriaz all the free ski buses stop about 200 metres from the chalet. You can park up to two cars in front of the chalet.

The chalet is compact but well equipped and comfortable. There are three bedrooms. One is a double and on the ground floor. The other two are on the first floor and have a mezzanine style. Both are twins but one is quite a bit smaller than the other. The ceilings are fairly low in both rooms so are better suited to children, however, we have had plenty of adults staying upstairs who have enjoyed their stay.

The chalet has one bathroom with a shower cubicle, the bathroom also houses the washing machine. There is a separate WC.

At the back of the chalet, looking out on the small enclosed garden, is a well equipped dining-kitchen. The dining table seats 6 and the kitchen has an oven, a hob, a microwave and a dishwasher as well as a large fridge.

The sitting room, at the front of the chalet, has a sofa and three easy chairs. A wall flat screen TV shows both English and French TV.

There is a small outdoor seating area at the back of the chalet with a lockable storage bench for skis and a small shed which can fit two or three bikes. It’s a great little area for BBQ’s in the summer.

We had a wonderful stay in Petite Maison. So very authentic, clean and comfortable. We were a party of two but we received 3 more members of the family, who were passing on their way home from Italy, and found we had plenty of space. We had to ask for extra bedding and towels (for our unexpected guests), and they were delivered almost there and then. It was most conveniently placed for the town and the ski lifts. We have been staying in Alptitude accommodation for many years now and have found them most helpful and accommodating - heres to the next few years! Thank You Ben and Beth.

Small but perfectly formed and in a great location. Managed to snowboard back to within 100m of the chalet most days - thanks to the awesome snow. Plenty of space for the 5 of us. Hanging space in bathroom ideal for drying gear. Supermarket not that far away for supplies. Kitchen had everything you\'d need and more. Alptitude were great to deal with and everything was all ready for us on arrival. Used the transfer via Alptitude too (The Farmhouse) - superb service both ways - even with our 3.00am start on the return journey. Would definitely recommend Aptitude and Le Petit Maison for a family.

We really enjoyed staying in Chalet La Petite Maison with our three children. We found we had everything we needed. It was excellent to arrive and have our ski passes handed to us and our ski equipment dropped off to the house. Because it was late in the season, there was no snow near Morzine, but we found the trip up to Avoriaz to be fine – it’s a bus and then a cable car, but all linked in well. It was lovely to wander into town after skiing and pick up our supplies for the evening while the kids lazed around happily with access to wifi. The Alptitude team were excellent at dealing with our equities quickly and efficiently.

La Petite Maison is a great place to stay! The welcome pack, is a very nice touch. The chalet was very clean. The accomodation is excellent, the wifi and english TV essential, when putting your feet up after skiing (or presumably mountain biking in the summer) - before Apre Ski of course. The facilities are first class. The window shutters also mean you can sleep with the benefit of the windows open at night, if you like the fresh air! Easy walk to Plenney station (5 mins) and central Bars and restaurants - there is even a short cut to Dixie's Bar and the large central super market (walk down hill on the right hand side - for approx 50m, turn right at the large Chalet with balconies - follow signs). This is a real gem, which ticks all the boxes- and plenty more- for a great family holiday. Convenient to Pleney, buses and a gentle 5 minute walk to the shops, restaurants and nightspots of Morzine. We can't recommend Chalet La Petite Maison or Alptitude themselves enough. Ben was extremely helpful from the initial enquiry not only with the booking but also transfers, where to eat and general local knowledge of the area, all of which where first class. We were a party of 5 adults in an all male ski trip and were very happily surprised at size and layout of the chalet. There was plenty of room in the kitchen and lounge areas for all of us to be in either room at one time. The head height is only limited in the mezzanine in places but given that the room offered more floor space than any other chalet I have been to previously I didn't mind and preferred the extra space. I highly recommend both La Petite Maison and Alptitude to anyone going to the area.
