About Morzine

Morzine sits in the Haute-Savoie region of France, just over an hour from Geneva Airport.  Because of this,  Morzine is one of the easiest Alpine resorts for UK and other travellers to reach. The Tourist Office marks the centre of town, and you can walk to the main lift stations in just a few minutes. These lifts carry you straight up towards Morzine and Les Gets on one side, and Avoriaz and the wider Portes du Soleil on the other.

Morzine functions as a real, year-round town rather than a purpose-built resort, so you can get around easily. You can drive freely through the valley. If you don’t have a car, the free bus network gives you a simple and reliable way to get around. The buses start and finish at the foot of Le Pleney and connect to the Prodains, Super Morzine and Ardent lift stations.  As a result, this network ensures you can reach all major access points quickly and without hassle.

Geneva Airport lies 100 km away and offers the quickest route into Morzine, usually in around 1 hour 15 minutes. From the airport, you can choose between private transfers, shared shuttles, buses or trains. If you can’t fly into Geneva, you still have strong alternatives. Chambéry lies around 1.5 hours away, Lyon about 2.5 hours, and Grenoble roughly 3 hours. Major airlines serve all three airports, so you can reach Morzine easily throughout the season.
